Scrappy Snail's Trail
September 1996, I attended Quilt Camp in Minneapolis organized by Helen Kelley. I took a class with Judy Florence and we worked with the Virginia Reel or Snail's Trail block. She encouraged the use of plaids and I found I really liked the mixture of all the different fabrics. This was machine quilted and I used Warm and Natural Batt. This quilt is 76” by 52”.

Hearts and Flowers
My sister, Lucie, died January 10, 2010. Lucie made a few quilts in her lifetime but her real passion was playing bridge. She was a Life Master with the American Contract Bridge League. I found three 2 yard pieces of fabric in her sewing room, the floral, red and lavender. I decided to make a quilt using those fabrics. The blocks are 6” finished. Machine quilted by Jessica Jones. Quilt finished in 2010. Finished quilt is 61” by 73”.
